The jig fits into the banjo in place of the tool rest, allowing you to screw your chuck onto the thread and work on your turned pieces in a much more comfortable position.

*However, if you do upgrade your lathe in the future, or have multiple lathes, you can purchase interchangable posts and threads to convert your jig should you need to.
